The Montague Street BID promotes shopping, eating, drinking and exploring the services available on Montague Street.

We run marketing and publicity campaigns and host events to attract people to shop, dine and explore the local businesses along the 3-block stretch of Montague Street.

The BID also promotes and supports events, specials and promotions organized by our member businesses and our neighbors.

You can submit events, specials, promotions and activities to our Event Calendar.

Sunday Social featuring the BrooklynBridgeParents.com Kid Zone

The BID’s annual event (formerly Summer Space) takes place each Fall when Montague Street becomes a walkable business district closed to vehicular traffic. Chock full of family-friendly entertainment, our pedestrian oasis welcomes visitors to explore our shops, enjoy great food and drink, marching bands, live entertainment and more. Sunday Social is part of the Department of Transportation’s citywide NYC Weekend Walks Program.

Selfies with Elves

In the true spirit of the season, the BID kicks off the holiday season by doing good and promoting shopping small during Small Business Saturday,  the  Saturday after Thanksgiving.  BID elves line the corners of Montague Street corners to collect new and gently loved cold weather gear for our neighbors in need. Everyone who donates takes a Selfie with an Elf. This annual holiday tradition attracts people from 2-92 years old from all over the city.

Communications

Through a variety of communication outlets, the BID keeps its stakeholders and the greater community up-to-date on BID-sponsored events, resources available, and upcoming projects and breaking news that affects the community.
