On May 28, 2020 the City Council introduced legislation – Int. 1957 – to require DOT to designate open spaces for temporary outdoor dining areas and establish a permitting system for those areas. Click here for a copy of the legislation.
As you’ll see in the bill, BIDs may have significant concerns about the potential use of plaza space and relaxed restrictions on vendor activity.
