Sweet Pea CSA Summer Season Kick-off!
June 6 @ 4:30 pm - 7:30 pm
Located in Brooklyn Heights, Sweet Pea CSA is a community of individuals committed to sharing the benefits and risks of local farming, and enjoying fresh, local fruit, organic vegetables and other produce at a great value. In the spring, CSA members buy a share of the farm’s produce. In return, members receive the benefits of the farm’s bounty throughout the growing season, as well as the satisfaction gained from supporting local farmers, participating directly in food production on farm visits, and helping build a more local and equitable agricultural system.
Garden of Eve grows all the vegetables and flowers offered by Sweet Pea CSA; they raise the lambs for the meat share, and the chickens for the eggs and meat shares, and also provide the bread and beer for those shares. Fruit, beef, pork, and cheese are provided by partnering farms, who work with Garden of Eve to provide our members with a variety of high-quality items throughout the season.
We are pleased to be able to use the First Unitarian Congregational Society Chapel in Brooklyn Heights as our distribution center.
Pick-up is on Wednesdays from 4:30pm to 7:30pm.
First Unitarian is located at the corner of Monroe Place and Pierrepont Street in Brooklyn Heights.
The season kicks off Wednesday, June 6 and runs through November 14.
