See “Long Goodbye” (set in Brooklyn) at the Art of Brooklyn Film Festival
June 10 @ 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm$16.80
“Long Goodbye” is a new award-winning independent feature-film, set and shot in Brooklyn by writer and director, Christopher Vernale. For the same price as a regular movie, locals can support a independent film shot in their backyard with a predominantly Brooklyn-based cast and crew.
With Brooklyn as the backdrop, “Long Goodbye” tells the story of Avery and Matthew. Two lonely strangers who find comfort in a fantasy relationship with each other. Too deep in their delusion to talk to one another, they both struggle to realize relationships with other people, only to find that reality can’t overcome the fantasy. When reality and fantasy collide, they are both forced to confront their demons. This is a modern coming of age story about two people learning how to grow up, long after adulthood.
AoBFF is the only international, independent festival in the world devoted to Brooklyn’s vibrant film and media scene and given the films connections to the borough we are thrilled to be selected.
A Q&A with the director follows the screening.
